Brooklyn Welcomes a New Restaurant

Rightful in time for summer a new eating-house has come to Brooklyn, perfect with outdoor seating. I can now corroborate that Tastebud is a formidable addition to Milwaukie Ave.They’ve been serving up pizza and other delights from their wood oven at farmers markets for a while. Now they’re putting down roots in Brooklyn and after my hop there tonight I’d say we’re favored. Here’s what the Oregonian had to say about Tastebud;

Line Doxtader isn’t one to farthing progress. Eight years ago he began trucking his movable wood-fired oven to the Portland Farmers Mart to bake pizza, breads and rural desserts on the blot. Doxtader’s Tastebud booth (named for the Canby landed estate he used to money-drawer) quickly claimed a furious following that only grew once he added wood-fire-baked bagels and seasonal stuffed pita sandwiches to his repertoire.

Doxtader still fires up his chattels at the twice-hebdomadal downtown Portland Farmers Mart, as well as the markets at Eastbank and Hillsdale. But the big word is the roving 36-year-old baker has lastly put down roots. After two months of hebdomadary Thursday-obscurity pizza practice-runs, Doxtader opens a continuing Tastebud chop-house Friday.
