New Apartment

So, Xavier has resolute that owning something big is a essential part of his being above 30. To this aim, we've chosen an apartment in the 10th arrondissement - very shut up to Canal St. Martin (featured above) and a delightful park in Paris with virid grass that you can in reality sit on (which pleases me immensely). We won't move for a while...between closing on the apartment and the operate that needs to be done, we are looking at instigating in sometime in early fall.

The apartment itself is extremely lovely, in a similar way the apartment I lived in with Stephen and Meredith in Bottomless pit's Kitchen was: it has an Alice in Wonderland kind-of appeal. The floors oblique direction - the walls don't align exactly and you get the affecting of being in another (disproportionate) creation. (To be fair, there wasn't indeed that much charm in the apartment in Realms of pluto's Kitchen, except that the atramentous-and-white checked put a floor on in that kitchen was so slanted that a golden pages had to be positioned under the stove to create it level. Possibly that doesn't even number as charm).

This apartment is a duplex with a made of wood ladder stairs leading up to the next to the first level - which will hold a small bedroom and the manager bedroom, out and out with a wooden quadrilateral and equiangular window cut out of the ceiling ("a skylight," I conclude) directly above the bed. Rain, rain, drops of rain. How ideal to hear the unimpaired of rain from in a straight course above.
